Hey! I use "Save Image" feature quite a lot in MPC-HC and everything is fine except when I save images from DVDs. While the video aspect ratio is fine, the image resolution is always screwed. Here is an example from MPC-HC and VLC:
MPC-HC:

VLC:

Does someone know how to fix this? Thanks.

That's how it's supposed to be. btw where did you get the PAL disks for Friends :o. Looks like a really nice version. My NTSC boxset is pretty substandard :(. Really love these shows :)

If it's wrong then I bet it's related to the renderer as usual.

It's the British 15th Anniversary edition (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Friends-Season-Complete-Collection-Anniversary/dp/B002CYIR0M/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1281976498&sr=8-1). Really nice box set.

Thanks, I'll check it out.

MediaPlayer Classic has generated an image capture "before" any aspect ratio signalling correction has been applied - ie: at 720x576 pixels.
VLC Player has generated an image capture "after" aspect ratio signalling correction has been applied - ie: at 768x576 pixels.

Many features in MPC work only with a custom presenter renderer, maybe this one too.
