Hi all!

I try authoring DVD from camcorder source. I transcode video to MPEG-2 using HCenc024 and for audio EncWavtoAC3, for subtitles using BDSup2Sub for convert to ifo/sup.
When I load subtitle to Muxman I see warning:
Stream has no modes selected.
After authoring I can see subtitle during play in MPC without problem.
It is normal?

With kind regards yup.

Is what normal? The message? Yes, it's normal because you didn't select Wide or LB. Assuming this to be a 16:9 DVD you're making, and assuming you have only one SUP file to load, after loading it hit both Wide and LB to make the error message go away.

I've never selected either Wide nor LB in MuxMan...and never had a problem with my resulting files.

Is this really important? and why?

Is it important? It must be. Otherwise why would it warn you about it? Why? Ask mpucoder. Don't ask me as I'm just a user trying to do things the right way. You mean all this time you've been seeing the warning and never bothered getting rid of it by loading your SUP files correctly?

^ LOL, I hardly use MuxMan...used it twice in the past 1-2 years...was just curious. :)

It's a warning not an error.

That means that it can work but not ideally.

Right, and my guess that it will work less than ideally, and maybe not at all, when there are 2 SUP files, one for Wide and the other for LB. If not loaded correctly it seems to me to be very possible that no subs at all will show up, or perhaps the wrong one. But if mpucoder sees this I'm sure he can set us (me) straight.

I'm just curious, EuropeanMan, but what do you author with, if not Muxman?
