Read first post to see my settings in Megui. (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=155943)
i tried to get the PS3 to see the video I put on the usb stick in a folder called Video but it didn't see it.
Please tell me how to make it PS3 compatible. :thanks::script:

AVCHD and Xvid are different codecs. AVCHD uses MPEG4 part 10 and Xvid is MPEG4 part 2 hence there is no such thing as AVCHD Xvid. It would be same as saying "I have a diesel gasoline car".

There is a PS3 x264 profile. Use that and mux it to a mkv or mp4. BAM! PS3 compatable. (But srlsy 999 posts and you had to ask help for a simple matter like this. What on Earth have you been doing for all these years?)

The problem with your solution is the avs code I had made the program crash during encode if the source video was anything larger than 480p.
I had to rewrite the avs code and then experiment with the ps3 to see the resolutions it would accept, and sometimes the trailers would not get demuxed right or some other problem.
I have fixed it now, but it wasn't as easy as booting up a playstation 3 megui profile and a 1080p trailer. So I had some question as to wether or not the playstation 3 profile even worked with a stack horizontal 1080p source.

And I don't know how I got so many posts. I keep deleting my previous post every time I write a new one. With that in mind I think I have many more posts than my number shows. :)

OH you wanted a 48, 50 or 60fps video to play on the PS3. You other post was far too long and boring for me to bother reading. You need to make the video AVCHD compatable then it should play fine even in 1080p. (Tested with 60fps material from a panasonic camera)

I dont recall PS3 to ever support mkv :\. even read through the manual on the website I see no mkv. but yes mp4 is supported and recommended for ps3 playback.
