Hello all, I have tried to output Gunbuster the Movie to BD25 multiple times. Either Full backup or Movie only. Every time I do so the Subtitles shoe only the first line, then the second line. and the last word of the second line there is a line through the last words. Like they've been scratched out.

I have made an image of the original BD50 rip. Loaded with virtual clone drive, and played with powerDVD 9 and 10 with no issues at all with the subtitles. So the rip should be fine.

I always keep subs in all my backups and they always work. This is a movie that subs are 100% necessary since it's in Japanese.

Has anyone backed this movie up with subs successfully?

Hi!

When using BD-RB, were you reducing resolution to 720p?

No I've never tried to resize the video nor convert HD audio. I always keep everything the same. Just reduce the size to BD25. If I turn the subs off. Then turn them back on nothing comes up. Like there are no subs at all. I've run this through BD-RB many times. But it's always the same result with this particular release. Never had sub problems with other movies.

update:
I just did the disc again in Movie only mode to BD25 but with both English and French subs. The English is still the same. The opening subs stays on the screen unless u turn them off. No other txt displays whatsoever. But French works just fine. So I'd understand that if the English subs were corrupt. But The original rip (BD50) when turned into an image and played through powerDVD English subs work just fine.
