How to manually set a subtitle track

How do you set a subtitle track from scratch? without using LinkTailPGC

Add a pre-command to movie PGC. In DVDRemake it's Add Command -> System set instructions -> tick 'sub-picture track#' and 'direct'-> use track # ON from dropdown.

If you mean command order in the pre-command list, you can write it prior to anything else. In case some older subtitle selection lines are present, you might need to remove them or place that new line after.
Do I correctly understand your task (to automatically turn on one of the existing subtitle tracks)?

What has this to do with subtitles?
Use SetSTN.

i just want to hit X audio/subtitle in that menu and it goes to the correct one


right now i have it on SetSTN for the audio/subtitle buttons, but it needs a 2nd command for it to work, what command do i go with on the pre-command of the movie?

Everybody's wondering what of the following you're trying to do:
a) force showing one of the subtitle tracks
b) edit button commands in subtitle menu for some reason (repair?)
c) force a title playback on subtitle selection
b) or anything else?

From the first post I can only guess, that button commands in subtitle selection menu look like LinkTailPGC. This only means addressing to post-command list of menu PGC, where commands are written (for each button number, taken from highlighted_button SPRM). If you want to change something, then tell us what is wrong with navigation and post copy of menu commands (PGC post-command list), to begin with. If you want to write button command 'from scratch', tell exactly what you want. If more than one command, you can't directly write it to button (you'll need to edit that list or send navigation to some other place where multiple command lines can be written).

In any event, ensuring there is a SetSTN, subtitlte track = XXX, on executed in the title's precommands will work.
