Copied BD without decrypting, can it still be decrypted?

I copied a Blu-Ray disc to my harddrive but I should have ripped and decrypted it instead.
The disc is now with a friend so I have to wait till I get it back to re-rip and decrypt it, but... can it be decrypted AFTER it has been copied to your harddrive?
All software that I come across can rip and decrypt from Blu-Ray drives, but not from folders on my harddrive.

Just to clarify for you:

It appears that two moderators, "neuron2" (subtly) and "avih" differ with each other regarding your post. This puts members in a precarious position, to wit:

If "neuron2" believes your post is in violation of the rules, any member offering you assistance could be "struck" for doing so.

On the other hand, if it's made clear that the two moderators have agreed that your question is not in violation of the rules, I'm sure you'd quickly see meaningful responses.

If you create an ISO from the copied files (using ImgBurn - freeware), then mount it using Slysofts Virtual Clone Drive (freeware as well), then there's a pretty good chance, AnyDVD will decrypt that disc fine.
This will work, if all files from the original disc were copied without modification and AnyDVD identifies the disc correctly.

If what you did was use MakeMKV to save the full disc backup without decrypting, the saved BluRay "package" on your hard drive includes the required key, so that you can just load it back into MakeMKV and resave a full back up with a checkmark next to "Decrypt".

In a freak mishap, I just copied the files with Total Commander to my hard drive. I guess being in a rush with 1000 things on my mind is not the best starting position, but it happened. So there is no image of the disc, but I could of course put them into an image and mounting that, every kind of software will see it as a BR drive. I'll try that next. If it doesn't work, no biggy... the disc'll be back in a week or so.

I might not have been clever about ripping my BR disc from the start, but I thought it would be interesting to find out if I could get myself out of this predicament the hard way... just didn't expect some of you being so unfriendly.
