deinterlacing using the DIVX4 Codec results in doubled horizontal lines. This happen with and without resizing.
anybody able to deinterlace without any artifacts?

Don't use the DivX4's deinterlacer, try the smartdeinterlace of GKnot or Decomb ( but you will need to use avisynth ), or the deinterlacer of TMPEG.

Donald Graft's fabulous Smart Deinterlace filter is available for VirtualDub as well. If you are into capturing, remember deinterlacing has to be done in a processing step after the capture. You can't deinterlace with the advanced filters while capturing because it's too CPU intensive.
