View Full Version : Can I prevent MPC-HC from taking over my keyboard's volume slider?

I usually use the volume slider on my laptop's keyboard to adjust the global Windows volume control. However, while using MPC-HC, the keyboard volume slider becomes remapped to control MPC-HC's own internal volume. This occurs whenever the program has focus.

Is there a way to disable this behavior? I've tried deleting the key mappings in the options, but this seems to have no effect. No matter what shortcut keys I assign to "Volume Up" or "Volume Down", MPC-HC will still take over the keyboard's volume slider for itself.

(I'm running the 64-bit version of MPC-HC on Windows 7 x64).

Remove the App Command.

Remove the App Command.

Thank you! Figures that it would be something simple...
I didn't realize that the keymapping menu had a horizontal scrollbar and that it was cutting off the "App Command" column... All this frustration and all I had to do was just scroll to the right! I've disabled the App Command and the volume controls are working perfectly now.
