hey fellas :)
well i wanted to ask how can one restrict x264.exe from using full cpu .. ( especizlly during IInd pass )
i want to allow it to use just 30 to 35% of the CPU , how can i do that permanently , atm all i do is redice the affinity , but its not a permanent solution..

how do you actually go about running x264? The best solution is to lower its priority, which means it can still use the cpu when available but at low priority sacrifices it if needed by another app.
By running in a low priority you won't even know its running. You can even play games including disgustingly slow resource pigs (considering the actual graphics etc) like GTA IV and not notice that x264 is running.

thanks !! what would you say if there is a server involved , with many other users in it , how should one go about setting x264.exe s CPU usage settings ???
