"Covers" in MKV-files?

I noticed that some people inserts "covers" into MKV-files. Now I wonder, how can I see them?

You can't. You need to have splitter that supports this but currently there are no such splitters.

The Matroska shell extension will let you view your file icons as their cover art, and also let you open image attachments. But you can't in any players that I'm aware of.

Sounds interesting. Anyone know if it works on win7? And if it can live with divx's thumbnails?

EDIT: nope, not working for me.
