Unable to copy feature_1.evo to hard disk

I have AnyDVD HD installed and I've been using it to convert HD-DVD's to MKV. It has been working well for most of the movies, however my Blazing Saddles HD-DVD won't copy correctly. If I don't run AnyDVD HD, I am able to copy feature_1.evo and feature_2.evo to my hard disk successfully, but obviously I'm unable to de/remux them using MKVToolnix because they are encrypted.

When I run AnyDVD HD, I am able to copy feature_2.evo, but when attempting to copy feature_1.evo (simply copy the file, not manipulate or de/remux it), windows 7 tells me it cannot locate the file after a few GB are copied. I tried putting my LG HD-DVD drive in a different computer and got the same result.

Has anyone run into this issue?

Update... I ran into the exact same problem with Ocean's 11... I see lots of views but no replies; NO ONE else has had this issue?

Have you tried cleaning the discs and/or run a cleaning disc on your drive?

I haven't tried running a cleaning disc through the drive... however, I successfully ripped 10 other HD-DVD's (and a couple blu-rays) before and after attempting the two in question, so it doesn't seem to be a cleaning issue. The two discs are also clean and scratch-free...

I should also note that the feature_2.evo files can be de/remuxed into MKV's, but then I'm missing half of each movie.

I've got an LG BD/HD-DVD combo drive too and very occasionally found it hang and then fail at the end of the first feature EVO when running AnyDVD. At the layer change perhaps? This has happened both when copying all files to HDD with AnyDVD and when running eac3to against the disk.

Whenever this has happened I've put the disk in my other drive (Xbox HD-DVD which always seems to work) and never investigated further. Next time it happens I'll see if I can copy the file without AnyDVD running, and confirm that it's the same situation that you're in.
