Is there a multithreaded VC1 decoder? I'm using MPC-HC with a 1 month old ffdshow build, and it only uses one of my core. I can't play Blu-ray VC1 smoothly with only 1 core. I'm wondering is there a multithreaded VC1 decoder, and if there is, how do I enable the multithreading feature?
Thanks.

Under the codecs option in ffdshow, pick wmv9 decoder instead of libavcodec (or whatever it's called).
It might be better.

Be sure you have WMP11/12 installed and use MS's decoder. They are multi-threaded. You should set VC-1 in ffdshow to disabled.

The result is the same as what I suggested.

No. With ffdshow setting to wmv9, there will be no DXVA.

A VC is the future format as we see VC1 in a decline.
