Authoring and non Authoring?

Can someone please explain the difference between an Authoring and
Non Authoring DVD burner

Do you mean authoring or non-authoring the material you want to burn on a DVD??? If so, authoring means that you will make some kind of menus, chapters and all that stuff and non-authoring will be just a movie without anything else.
