Hi folks,

Please be gentle, this is my first post here.

I have started a project to encode my Bluray and HD-DVD collections to a hard drive and stream them to my Xbox360 and HD-TV.
I am using to following software:
AnyDVD-HD
Ripbot264v1.16.1
AviSynthv258
Ffdshow
Matroska Splitter

I am about 8 movies in and I get the following recurring error message:

Avisynth error:

DirectShowSource: couldn’t open file
C:\temp\RipBot264temp\job5\video.mkv:
The system could not find the file specified.

(C:\temp\Ripbot264temp\job5\getinfo.avs, line 2)

I have no clue how to attack this problem?!
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Hmm... It appears that RipBot is failing to properly demux your input video.

Are the steps that you are following similar to the ones that I posted in this guide?: http://adubvideo.net/how-to/encoding-blurays-mp4-ripbot

Let me know how it goes. You really shouldn't be having any problems, as RipBot is pretty darn robust these days.

It appears I was right on your script all along..could this just be glich in the software? Are others having the same problem?

No, no one else if having this problem.

When exactly do you get this error? When you first load up the clip? When you hit the Preview button?

I am getting the error during the initial demuxing of the source video typically about 75% complete. The problem kind of comes and goes. I will encode a couple of movies just fine and then this thing pops up and is a problem on my next few attempts. It seems to happen more wile encoding blurays vs. hd-dvd but I have received the error using both formats. There is one title that I have made 6 different attempts to encode with no success so far and each time getting the same error message.
