View Full Version : The movie 9

I have ripped the movie 9 (Region A) using AnyDVD 6.6.7.0. With the rip, I have attempted to transcode a BD25 full disk for a backup.
The menus work and all the special features. When starting the movie from the menu, after the FBI warning and Universal logo video, the movie crashes PowerDVD 10 and also freezes my Panasonic BD35. The movie will not play.
Anyone else have this problem? Any ideas for a fix? Not sure if this is a bug for BD Rebuilder.
Feel free to ask questions to help resolve.
Thanks!

[Edit] Just had a thought. I processed without the secondary video because it had DTS Express audio (can't hear it anyway). Maybe the movie needs the secondary video. Just processing again with the secondary video to see if that doesn't solve the problem.

I completed it and played it. No issues here.

I have since found that if I process the secondary video (PROCESS_SECONDARY=1) the movie plays in PowerDVD. I haven't tried on my Panasonic BD35 yet. I will do that when I get home from work tonight. I suspect it will be fine.
I have never had a movie not play while stripping the secondary video. Is this a common thing?
PS Not to bug or anything...I know it may not be high priority but are you closer to having a look at the out of sync PIP audio in Monster Vs Aliens as I have previously reported. No pressure.
Thanks!

Hey jdobbs,
As I suspected, encoding with the secondary video allowed the main movie to work. I tested in my Panasonic BD35 and all is well.
Great work on this program!
Thanks!
