Normally I checked every DVD I burn against PI/PO errors. But for several years I thought it be futile (lost time), as no bad burns whatsoever.
Recently I bought a spindle of Maxells (I thought they were too cheap to be any good, suspicions confirmed). So I started checking again my DVDRs, to be sure.
Now to the problem: during this check up, I have found a DVD DL (Verbatim printable, MKM stamper) that had wonderful values (brilliant also for a single layer). The problem is I don't know any more which burner did it. The RID writing should be mandatory, however I'm not sure which application/drive can read it.
The simplest solution is to burn a DVD DL each burner I have, but I have many burners (at least 10, I don't even know their exact number) and I don't like to waste those good MKMs in a lousy burner.
Anyone has an idea?
