My PVR makes MPEG2 TS files - I demux in ProjectX, edit out the commercials, top and tail then remux and tidy up the edits if necessary in Womble that outputs a MPEG2 PS file.
I normally keep this for archiving on my network or copy back into the PVR internal drive deleting the original TS file.
I've just been using Handbrake and have made a few mkv files with subs. Works nicely.
The chapter tab can be opened but all the options are not available including loading in an external chapter list.
So the question is can you make a mkv with chapter points and if yes - how!? (I know you can from a DVD with existing chapter points but most of my files are 1080i 50Hz.
