Playing a file muxed with mkvmerge --cropping

Assuming I mux a wmv file with --cropping switch what do I need to play this? I've tried this before with some other file and no cropping was done with all players I tried.

Long time ago I was thinking about fake cropping in RipBot264 but then I realized that players/splitters (haali) ignore this flag. So ready code was put to {hibernation} :)

I think it would be cool if Haali Splitter and ffdshow would support this, I can at least try making a feature request.

If it don't work then a player needs to store a zoom parameter per movie, I've started a open source player where I can add such a feature.
