Encode VC-1?

Well, i have this BD that is in VC-1. I have demuxed it to mkv. When i open it, it plays fine. But when i try to encode it, i get this error

I cant find it anywhere.

I just used HDConvertx and it kinda works. I took the avs it produced and stick it in VDM and it works but i put it in MeGui it doesnt.

BTW, DGDecNV will handle VC-1 blurays very easily.

i dont have an Nvidia card atm. I used to have one, but i just switched to ATi ( ATI RADEON HD XFX 5770 1GB GDDR5 )

Use ffdshow instead of the DMO.

You can install the NV card as a secondary adapter and still use it with the ATI.

You can use Win7DSFilter Tweaker on Windows 7 to give ffdshow decoding priority or you can set it manually in graphedit by adding the ffdshow video decoder and connecting its video input pin to the video output pin of the file and loading the .grf file with DirectShowSource. Alternatively you could use FFVideoSource in Avisynth instead of DirectShowSource.

A step by step ('cause I'm feeling nice).

*Download and install the latest ffdshow decoder (looks like you did this).
*Download and install Win7DSFilterTweaker.
*Configure the ffdshow decoder to use wmv9 for VC-1 (libavcodec doesn't seem to apply the built-in deblocking correctly, which can lead to ugly stair-stepping blocks).
*Launch the Win7DSFilterTweaker and set VC-1 to use ffdshow (not ffdshow DXVA!).

If you still have trouble, make sure you have installed the Haali media splitter and that it is configured to be the default splitter for m2ts files.
