I've tried like 6 times trying to upload this video to Youtube but once it reaches 100%, I get an error telling me that it's unable to convert video file.

I used MediaInfo to reveal everything in the file.

I render the project in Sony Vegas Pro 9 using uncompressed Lagarith Lossless Codec, then I render it in Megui using x264 Unrestricted (DXVA) - Insane, and an MP4 container.

It plays just fine in VLC Player. So what is wrong?? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Edit: I tried using the Java uploader too, and the basic uploader. Still fails.

That you have 1001 codecs on your computer doesn't automatically mean that everyone has access to the same.

I don't use youtube and/or dailymotion but when I need to upload something (eg a short demo) I'll always use a standardized codec (MPEG-2 or DV), the very same way it's used in standalones. No problemo! Try recoding your HD video using BD presets.

Remux mp4 to mkv. I had some problems with mp4 in past. Youtube re-encoded version was very choppy. The same file in mkv format was re-encoded without any problems.

Sorry, but is that the Bluray presets you're talking about?

Edit: If it was one of the Bluray presets you recommended, well I got an error after enqueing it.

So... Gspot shows I have 238 Video Codecs on my system... i'm guessing thats overkill, and it must be halting my video from uploading to youtube. =/

Does anyone know how I can revert to having just the essential video codecs? I'm not that tech savvy, so I wouldn't really know which codecs to remove.

I have the K-Lite codec pack installed, and the codecs that came with MeGUI. I'm not sure how I got the others, just from carelessness ....

No problemo! Try recoding your HD video using BD presets.IME YouTube will happily accept the x264 unrestricted 1 pass ABR and const. quality balanced presets in MeGUI (I've not tried the DXVA ones). I've only ever used ABR LC-AAC for audio, typically 128kbps or 160kbps. Muxed to mp4. No problems.

Plus I've seen some sites (not necessarily YouTube - can't remember) deinterlace MPEG-2 and/or DV by default - and assuming you're uploading progressive content, that would be a bad thing!

Surely other codecs you may or may not have installed on your system are completely irrelevant when encoding in MeGUI/x264, checking in VLC, and uploading to YouTube?

Besides the quality of youtube is not exactly high - if ones want to share high quality videos, well I won't do it (my opinion, not an advice), I'd rather prefer to mail the DVDR instead.
Surely other codecs you may or may not have installed on your system are completely irrelevant when encoding in MeGUI/x264, checking in VLC, and uploading to YouTube?I said or wanted to say that the plurality of codecs on the uploader system might hide a potential problem with the files as such (eg a broken/devel/trial codec+encoder that works only on the user's system - the unexperienced user doesn't realize that outside her/his PC this file is useless). Using VLC for testing is again not something recommended (I do not recommend) because the codecs are embedded in VLC (are they exactly the same, are older generations, devel/beta) and these are not reference codecs.
