After upgrading my cpu from 2 to 3 cores, I've noticed a problem with the divx decoder (6.9.2)
The decoding speed seems to be inversely tied to the number of cores
I used this as a simple test with virtuadub -> fast recompress, uncompressed video, no audio, run analysis pass
Repeated 3 times, with virtualdub's affinity set to 1, 2 and 3 cores
That should just test the speed of the decoder
The results aren't good with a random test clip
1 core 22 secs
2 cores 1 min, 8 secs
3 cores 1 min, 45 secs
And just for fun
ffdshow
1 cores 10secs
3 cores 10secs
Is this a known problem?
