Hi there,
I do my DVD->Divx-avi jobs with
1a) decodevob->azid->lame or
1b) ac3dec->lame for the sound and
2) m2apx3g for the video.

I've already done quite a few movies (something like 60 or so). Now I'm coming to 'Anna and the king' and 'A civil action'. The sound I get from the vobs is (in both movies) approx. 5 minutes shorter than the video. I thought maybe the credits are without sound and cut the end of the video off to synch the audio to the video with nandub, but to no avail. Any ideas on this ? Anyone with similar problems (and a solution ....) ?

c ya.

did you chose the right framerate for the video?
I don't know if that could be the problem... just a suggestion.

They're all 25fps, just like the source.
btw, would changing the framerate change the length of the video ? I don't think so....

in terms of number of frames , no
but in terms of time length then of course it will!! the faster you run the frames the less time it takes to display them all, think about it

if you decimate by 2,fps goes to 12.5,time doesnt change
