I need some help installing a nVidia GT240 on Windows XP Pro which already has an ATI HD3850 installed. I want both cards, the new nVidia GT240 is for decoding HD video sources only and won't be used for display.

There are meant to be issues using two different video cards on Windows XP unless some work arounds are used.

Can anyone help with this or know a site that has a guide? I have searched but found nothing.

The only issue I know of is that you must have a monitor connected to the second adapter to be able to use it for GPU decoding with WinXP. I have seen on the web people make and use a simple connector wired to make the adapter think a monitor is connected.

EDIT: Send squid_80 a PM about it. I believe he has this configuration working.

Thank you, I thought it might be some driver problem and didn't know the issue was about having a display connected. That was why all my searches turned up nothing like I wanted.

I purchased the GT240 only for use with your NV Tools, I don't expect to use it for anything else ATM.
If that is all the problem is, I can currently just connect it to the 2nd VGA connector on my monitor, that should provide the termination until I can make/buy either the connector or the parts.

The next issue is purchasing your software. I could not find any link on your website and the program wouldn't run without any nVidia drivers installed so I could not see if there was any menu option for purchase. Now I know I can install the nVidia drivers I will see if it will run after doing so.
