Hello:
recently, i decided, now that i have a P4 system, to optimize my encoding speed.
hwta i decided is this:
1. i will use flaskMPEG for interlaced DVDs, XMPEG 4.2a for non-interlaced.
2. i use frameserving from Flask/XMPEG to VirtualDub so i can use gamma corection before i encode with DivX 4.12, so if it's an interlaced TV movie at 29.970 i will use VirtualDub's smart deintarlace.
i get the job dome at about 15 -20 FPS for interlaces full screen movies and at 25 -35 FPS for widescreen no-interlaced films.
my system: (just so i can show off)
ASUS P4T-E MB
P4- 1900MHz (S-478)
512MB RIMM
100GB WD HDD
MY QUESTION (at last): i am drowning in SSE, SSE2, iDCT and whatever!!!!! which one is the most optimized method for P4?
thanx!
