From time to time I find a clip that will load, starts to play, and will always freeze at the same spot within the first few seconds no matter how much of the files seems to have loaded or how long the file is. The current file I am looking at is 15 minutes and freezes in 18 seconds (also mentions it's an AVI with an "invalid chunk"). Another is 8 minutes long and freezes in 13 seconds but loads perfectly well with no chunk or other errors.
What confuses me is that it always appears to load all of the file or the majority of a file before bringing up the error, and VLC has no trouble playing it (although it too may mention that it is broken and reconstructs it so I have no idea if it reconstructs the entire file either, but it does reconstruct to the exact same length).
Any ideas what might be going on or how it could be fixed or bypassed?
