View Full Version : Megui encode interrupt under Win7 through standby

It's frustrating. My encodes stop after 30minutes according to the energy savong settings unless I am active with mouse or keyboard.

I found some threads outside this forum dealing with 3rd party apps being interrupted by energysaving guidelines under WIndows 7, allthough these apps use around 100% cpu power.

Most M$ programmes do not suffer from this, as reported in the web.

I really don't want to alter these settings everytime I am starting an encode via megui. Mostly because I think I will forget to turn the settings back on after encode....
Is there another way?

0.3.4.17
- [WindowUtil] + [JobWorkerWindow] prevent standby while a job is running

Please try the latest development build and report back.

It works! Thank you very much.

Another question: I'm courious, because in the wide web a lot of people flame M$ for being so stupid creating a brandnew OS which is unable to recognize a (nearly) 100% CPU load producing application to delay the standby countdown.

Others say, that the applications in focus (such as antivirus programmes) do not send the right signal to the OS that the Computer is busy - different interface for W7??

What do you say?
