dvd movie wont play on my computer

I put the disc in and it goes to the play options and click on one and it goes to the language menu and i select english but it doesn`t go any further. I tried it on two standalone dvd players and another computer and it plays ok. Is there something missing on my computer?:)

Try use MPC-HC.

MPC-HC uses it's own internal codecs. There can't be anything missing.

Maybe it was authored in a weird way, where it's remote-compatible but the hot zones don't match up with the actual buttons and text. Seen a lot of those from bargain encoder outfits.

To Foxyshadis and all---Well, this is amazing. I was foolin around with DVD Shrink and clicked on "open disc" and it went through the preview/analysis and it came up(attached), and then i clicked on "re author", nothing happened, so i went out of DVD Shrink and tried the the problem disc, and i don`t believe it, the movie played. I haven`t got a clue what i did. :thanks:

Sounds like you inadvertently cleaned something off the disc or off the lens of the player...

Clean your disk lens by any lens cleaner, than play. if still not the play any other DVD and check weather your computer DVD player is working or not OR the DVD you try to play is okay or not.

I haven`t got a clue what i did. Well, that was a false one. When i turned my computer off and on the disc is back to not playing again.:confused:
