I have audio files with .dtswav extensions.
I would like to burn to CD for play back thru my home dts system. Can I convert to wav and maintain the dts sound, if so what utility should I use. VLC Media Player will play them. Thank you in advance for any advice!

what are you looking to do exactly, play them to a receiver with a cd player on digital? if so you just rename the extension to .wav and burn them as an audio cd. they have to be the 44.1 khz dts for it to work, though.

Thank you! So simple, it worked. Is there a reason it was named this way. Possibly as a way of tracking from a regular wav file?

they were probably named that because some programs have trouble detecting when dts is renamed a wav, for playback.
