24Hzmode with 23.976fps DVD source?

If I enable "1080p/24" in my multimedia server ( xtreamer.net )and I watch a BluRay copy, TV shows 24hz mode.
When I playback a DVD movie (23.976fps) TV is set again at 24Hz.

* Is my multimedia streamer speeding up audio and image from 23.976 to 24fps ?

* Why is there 24fps only at 1080p and not at any other resolution?

Ghitulescu, I only see 24p mode for 1080p. Can I choose 24p in other resolutions with other standalone players ?

Should also work for 720p, but not for DVD resolutions because they have to stick to NTSC standard (29.970 FPS) (or 25 FPS for PAL)
