error occurred when ACM was Initialized

When I have everything load and push start to encoder to svcd I get "The Error Occurred When ACM Initialized. Does any body know what causes this. Please help Thanks

O.K. here's the solution (at least it was for me). Some gremlin disabled two of my audio compression codecs. To fix the problem, open Control Panel, then open the "Multimedia" icon, then click on the "Devices" tab. Open the "Audio Compression Codecs." Then, double-click each compression codec. Make sure that "Use this audio codec" is selected. On my system, some gremlin (not me) had disabled the "Fraunhofer IIS MPEG Layer-3" codec and also the "Microsoft PCM Converter" codec. I re-enabled these two codecs, and the problem went away.
