you have it all setup to encode to divx??
if so what program you using to encode?
it will more than likely have a feature to crop for you.

or you have a finished divx and want to crop it??
if so you can use either flask or virtualdub to resize, crop, bla bla bla....

It’s a finished Divx movie.

I need to crop the left of a little bit.

I tried using flask and it was a dead end.

But When I use VirualDub v1.4.5 I can only resize and not crop out.

Does anybody know another way of doing it?

I greatly appreciate all comments.

VirtualDub can crop! Use the Null Transform Filter and then select clipping. But that would mean you'd have to reencode. If you have the source, it would be better to encode from that again with the right cropping settings from the beginning.

BicubicResize filter can do it. Use that in WMP 6.4 and you can access it's DirectShow properties and select crop. It wll then crop the bars on playback without any re-encoding whatsoever.
