No, not really great news !
Since 1.4.3 they started to make Splash Lite even lighter. In other words, they have disabled some features now, asking you to buy the Pro version. :( That means, Mirillis wants to earn some money with their Splash Player Pro, now.

Sorry, I've already removed 1.4.3 again and don't remember exactly what it was, except for the missing video file information. But there were also some other features where you will just get a "Please buy the Pro Version" now. I don't need that since MPC-HC is my main video player. Try it out yourself and you will see. I've reinstalled 1.4.2 again.
