Hi guys,
Just wanted to point out that the Blender Foundation's Durian Open Movie Team have released the trailer for Sintel (http://durian.blender.org/news/sintel-teaser/). It's available in DivX Plus, MP4, and OGV. The DivX Plus versions were encoded with x264 using DivX Plus HD-compatible settings (http://developer.divx.com/docs/divx_plus_hd/Creation_with_x264/).
The Durian team have an awesome blog where they've been posting updates throughout the project including concept art, model previews, early renders, sprint updates, team videos and more. Check it out: http://durian.blender.org/
Congrats to the Durian team on their first release!

Cool. Ever since I read about Sintel, I've been looking forward to see how it turns out. Now finally, with the trailer release, we'll get a glimpse.
As they state in their blog, Sintel is definitely a lot more appealing than previous Open Movie projects.

The uncompressed source for the entire movie has been uploaded today.
http://media.xiph.org/sintel/sintel-2k-png/
The image size is 2048x872 (2.35:1 aspect ratio).
A few files (00005707.png, 00006243.png and 00013424.png) seem to be missing, so it may be wise to wait a little for the Xiph folks to check it.

That's what I have been waiting for
Looking forward to see the first full x264 encode of this amazing movie. With my slow connection, I cannot download the whole thing as PNG's.

sintel-master-51.ac3 and sintel-master-st.flac are already available  , but sintel-master-51.flac is not ready yet. :(
Hopefully it won't take ages  for them to x-zip the PNGs. :)

I know this an old thread, but they've also uploaded the movie in 4K resolution in PNG/TIFF and 8-bit/16-bit format combinations.
Check out the README (http://media.xiph.org/sintel/sintel-4k-tiff16/README.txt) for the 4K 16-bit TIFFs.
The Sintel 5.1 FLAC files are also now available (http://media.xiph.org/sintel/sintel-master-51-flac.zip).
