I have burnt a dvd movie with imgburn. (All dvds I talk about here are movies that I have filmed and edited myself). I can see it in Mediaplayer but not Mediaplayer Classic (I can only hear the sound) AND, this is my problem, it doesnt work with my dvd player connected to the TV. I get green pixel disturbances when I view it in the standalone DVD player and then it stops! My other older DVDs, also made with the same software, can I watch in both PC and TV. I have two questions:

1 How do I get my newly burnt dvd to work with my standalone dvd-player?

2 Why does not Media Player Classic in my PC work with my new dvd since this program plays all the older ones?
The answer to this second question is not so important since all dvd:s work with Windows Media Player in my new pc. I guess that somehow Vista helps Media Player Classic but with my old win 2000 computer without service packs Media Player Classic cant work. I use the same version of Media Player Classic so you can rule that out. Different drives though.

My new dvds are verbatim +r and +rw and both dont work in my standalone dvd player.
I have played old burnt dvd:s verbatim +r and -r and both dvds work in my standalone dvd player.

all dvds are single layer.

any help out there..?

Try burning another disk and use a slower burn speed, no faster than half the rated speed of the drive or the media, whichever is slower.

I burnt 2x speed same disc (it is a max 4x speed +rw disc). Imgburn set the speed to 2.4x. Same result. Only sound in Media Player Classic with a black screen. Green pixeldistortions, just the title of my short documentary can be seen with the distortions then it freezes with my standalone dvd player. This was made with my new PC and latest version of Imgburn. I burnt the audio video ts folders from my external harddrive.

I used a different disc also verbatim dvd but -rw and burnt it in my old computer where I have done all successful burns before. I downgraded Imgburn to 2.3.2.0. Imgburn started erasing process, something I have not seen in the last burns with the 2.5.1.0 version. I used speed 1x but get the same result. I burnt the audio video ts folders from my external harddrive.

I use settings build, standard, device and first choose write to folder in img burn.

If it is a firmware problem for my burner, how come I get the same result with two different burners/pc:s?
If it is wrong with my cheap standalone dvd player, how come it still can play my old dvds?
Have I gotten some basic setting wrong.. perhaps?

I use pal and live in sweden.. any hints?

Thanks!

I had NTSC in Dvdauthorgui and I should have had PAL. Somehow I missed it! Now everything works. Thank you for your time!
