I have installed a Hauppage WINTV VCB 558 64405 card in my PC and connected it to a VCR using an RCA lead between card and VCR, with an audio cable going from VCR to my sound-card (blue socket).
I am following this guide

and all seems to go well except that I get no sound when I get to section #3.2 (Fix audio sink).
I do hear sound when I am setting up the video capture in preview mode, and I can see the sound meter activated at the bottom of the preview window.
There is no way to connect a cable between the VCB card and the sound card.
PC has an ECS slot-A board with an AMD 2 gig CPU and 500 meg of RAM, with separate sound card and video card.
Can anybody suggest what the problem is please? :confused:
