x264 encoded movies and 1080i output over component

Hi all.
I made some brd encoding my own videos with x264 following the compliancy guidelines.

I'm able to play these movies perfectly with all the brd player I tryed.
The only problem I noticed is that original BRD or BRD that some customers gave me, can play at 1080p (native resolution) over HDMI and 1080i over component.
Mine can play 1080p over HDMI but only 576i/p over component and not 1080i.
I don't know if it is an encoding problem or if there is a setting to enable the disc to be played at 1080i over component or something like that...
I don't really know why some discs can play at 1080i and why some others not...

Maybe someone can light me the way?

What authoring software are you using? Likely it's inserting some kind of restriction like ICT (image constraint token) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image_Constraint_Token
