I am wanting more information on x264 blu-ray compliant settings but can't find any clear cut guidlines. I am really excited about x264

It would be good to make a wiki page with the workflow and details for BD-R and BD5/9 encoding and authoring, instead of making newbies search the forum. Anyone want to throw something together?

I can start off with something tonight or tomorrow if no one wants to. I'll probably start with the BR support commit message (http://git.videolan.org/?p=x264.git;a=commit;h=c6de86497cdd7b7f3cce7d8a95d723c7d0c9f505), but any further links/quotes are appreciated. Should the page be made on MeWiki or what?

I did some compilation of information around here (http://doom10.org/index.php?topic=302.msg2148#msg2148) too (see the links to various threads etc.). That one thread before nal-hrd got committed was quite a gold mine, so I recommend crawling around it for anyone who wants to write something on different settings that can be used for different resolutions and such (parts of the spec were linked here and there on that thread).

Of course, that b-pyramid warning on one of those linked posts is no longer in need of being heed to, as we have b-pyramid strict now.

Should the page be made on MeWiki or what? If you make a guide thread about it we can make it a stickie.

I have a good idea already as to the required settings I just wanted to make sure I was 100% sure do to the many requirements
for 100% compliancy. I encode a lot already and was thinking about making bdr single layer encodes from blu-ray movies that do will not fit on to a bdr with remuxing. So if it is to played from a standalone player it needs to be 100% compliant thanks.
