Everyone, do yourselves a favor, and search for all threads started by yourself.

Go back to the beginning, and re-read some of those threads. I just did this myself, and read back to 2003 when I was just starting in DVD backup, and Xvid was just beginning dev-api4 betas. Remember those days?

Only been a member for a bit over a year so it's perhaps too early for a retrospective.


When I do though I think I'll find my posts will fall into one of these categories:


Stuff that's just wrong because I don't know what I'm talking about.
Stuff that's wrong because I've made a typo.
Posts that were meant to be friendly and sincere but accidentally come across as sarcastic, pompous or otherwise make me sound like an arse.
Posts where I've been deliberately sarcastic or pompous and so make me sound like an arse.
Posts made when drunk. See also point 4, and probably points 1 to 3 as well.
Posts with inappropriate smilies.

I'd like to state for the record that I've not been drinking, so if I look at this post again sometime in the future I can eliminate category 5.
