I'm looking for something that provides basic DVD ripping services. I just want to be able to copy data off of the disc and onto my hard drive. I already have tools to reprocess the .ifos and .vobs. I just need to get around the copy protection.

I tried AnyDVD, but I found it too intrusive to work with; it slows down anything I do with discs. Is there some simple program that can just read the contents of a disc, DeCSS it (or other copy protection), and shove it onto your harddrive at a directory of your choice?

I use DVD Decrypter, so far no problems.

And for more recent DVDs with more advanced forma of copy protection, DVDFab HD Decrypter.

Absolutely.

DVD Decrypter is too out of date these days although it could of course be used with DVDFab Passkey for recent titles.
