Hi there,
Hoping someone can help me with playback of DVD and .avi files in WMPx64 (win7) by using ffdshow x64... No matter what I try, MS overrides my settings from both ffdshow and Win7DSFilterTweaker 3.1.
If i open an .avi in MKVmerge and convert it to .mkv it runs fine in ffdshow - both audio and video, but not with the .avi extension.
DVDs won't run through ffdshow no matter what I try.
Setup:
Windows 7 x64 Ultimate
FFDshow x64 (latest release from xvidvideo.ru)
WMPx64 set as default player
MPC-HC Standalone filters:
MatroskaSplitter.ax
MPCAudioRenderer.ax
The reason why I want ffdshow to handle the files, is that the MediaControl plugin has an option to automatically change the monitors refresh rate to match the video. Quite nice when you're switching between 29fps xvids, 25fps PAL DVDs and 23.976fps blu-ray .MKVs. It's all about WAF obviously...
