Hi All,

I was trying to make a D2V project file using DGIndex(in GK- for creating an AVI output format) there i selected all my VOBs and hitted the preview. The result shows like this:-

Aspect Ratio: 16:9
Frame Size: 720x480
Frame Rate: 29.970fps
Video Type: NTSC
Frame Type: Interlaced
****
**
***
Remain: Finish

I have opened the saved D2V file(a rough one for testing) in Notepad at the end it showing that:- FINISHED 0.00% FILM

I had set the DGindex>Video & Audio options as Default before the D2V creation but the preview shows tat its an Interlaced NTSC so what should i do?? Do i need to enable the Honor Pulldown Flags or Force Film??

I have gone through many threads regarding the Interlacing and so but stiff confusing as they all telling about PAL/NTSC 95/99% but in my case what should i do??

Plz advice me to make a perfect bugfree D2V for my further procedings with GK to create the desired output.

Thanks in Advance.
Ajay.

Never force film on content without pulldown Flags. Honor pulldown flags and do any necessary deinterlacing or IVTC in your AVS script (AutoGK may automate this). This question has been covered extensively, so start by reading the DGIndex documentation and then to understand what you may need to do read the TIVTC and Decomb documentation.

Hi Inspector.Gadget,
Thanks for the reply.

Yea, i have red the same and understood somewhat ok but i couldn't reach a conclusion to do further as confused about the decision to be in my case, the preview result of Dgindex is NTSC with Interlaced and not telling anything about a percentage(99%, 95% like that) and the sample D2V created shows(in notepad at last end) that "FINISHED 0.00% FILM" thats why am seeking an help for a solid decion to be implemented. I dono this to be honor pulldown flag or force film or anything else to be made in this srange.

Thanks for ur time friend.

If the Info window shows 0 in the Field Rpts and Frame Rpts fields then you have no soft pulldown and should do what Inspector.Gadget said: set Honor Pulldown Flags and then deinterlace or IVTC as needed in your script.
