Anyone know how to display the forced subtitles in the Avatar Blu-ray
I am playing the MT2S file in Media Player Classic Home Cinema with EVR CP using MPC-HC internal H.264 decoder with DXVA
I have tried it without DXVA but the forced subs don't appear
I basically want to display the aliens language
I am on Windows 7 with the 1824 build of MPC-HC using AMD HD5870 gfx card with 10.4 cats
Any help will be appreciated
Cheers

AFAIK, MPC-HC does NOT support BD-SUP subtitle files yet.
ffdshow, on the other hand, added support for such files, but there are a few bugs (that are being ironed out as we speak; see the ffdshow thread (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=120465)).

I found Nav'i forced subtitles (http://forum.slysoft.com/showpost.php?p=260580&postcount=602) converted to a SRT file. I hope it helps.
I extract the english SUP file from Bluray and export to idx/sub format using BDSup2Sub, then playback Avatar mkv in MPCHC with the option in DirectVOBSub to display Forced Subtitle only. It will keep the original font like the Bluray.

Yes. This has been pointed out in the BDSup2Sub thread. It handles the Avatar sub font quite nicely. The issue here is that some tinkering with the original stream is necessary. If the OP was interested in tinkering with the streams he would probably already have done this procedure (and maybe changed the format of the video with x264 also) and wouldn't be asking such questions and bringing up such issues about MPC HC.
