Hi all, i need help with AutoGK

Hi everyone, thanks for sharing your knowledge.

I installed AutoGK and when i try to convert the first part seems ok , it loads up or whatever but then it says

video compression error
the source image format is not acceptable
error code-2

A couple of days later i tried again. twice and both times got this

Avisynth open failure
Script error: There is no function named "Direct Show Source"

Any thoughts?

Your problems seems related to source not recognized.

Be aware that this forum is dedicated to encoding sources you own or have made. Be careful with your formulation.

Questions:

1/Have you fully installed the autogk package without errors?

2/ Is your sources one of the following (from AGK manual):

IFO file is used when you have a DVD like directory that contains IFO file and corresponding VOB files.
MPG, MPEG, VOB, VRO, M2V, M1V, DAT files are expected to have MPEG1/MPEG2 video inside.
TS, TP, TRP, M2T files are expected to be transport streams with MPEG2 video inside.
AVI files can have potentially any type of video inside (including DivX/XviD and DV sources)

If not could it be your answer; if yes please post (copy/paste) a logfile from one of the problematic files. Thanks.

Yes to number one.
Not sure about two. I havn't read the manual. Ill do that and see how i go.
