I'm sure this question has been asked before, but the one thread I found when going back a few pages didn't have the information I needed.
I am a theater hobbyist, and I'd like to make a demonstration disc that has all of my favorite clips on it, instead of me inserting disc after disc after disc, waiting for them to boot, ect.
I've began collecting my favorite clips from my blu-rays by using TsMuxer, and I now have a several M2TS files that contain the original video and ONLY the TrueHD or the DTS-HDMA audio track.
My problem, is that I'm having difficulty finding authoring software that will simply passthrough these M2TS clips without re-encoding them.
I was able to access Adobe Encore CS5, thank god for Adobe's agreement with my wife's university, which was advertised to have "AVCHD M2TS" passthrough but it doesn't seem to work with any M2TS file that has HD audio. I was able to get it to work when I loaded an M2TS that had Dolby 2-channel audio.
In talking with someone on the theater boards I visit, he mentioned that maybe the audio could be somehow "patched" back in after authoring in Encore.
I thought that maybe if I author a BD in Encore, it appears that the output M2TS files from Encore keeps each clip as its own M2TS file, if thats the case could I pull Encore's encoded "00000.M2TS" file and replace is with the clip containing the HD audio by naming it the same "00000.M2TS" file name?
I really like Encore, and the ability to make good menus without a huge learning curve.
Is there a way to acheive this or am I stuck with something like Sony's Blu-print or Sonic Scenarist? Those are unobtainable for me.
I know MultiAVCHD will technically get the job done, but I'd really like something with a better menu support.
