Avisynth templates in VirtualDub? (feature request)

The only reason I still use VirtualDubMod is because of the option to automatically create an AviSynth file based on a template when you open up a file.

Is there a plugin that adds this functionality to VirtualDub?

If not, I would like to suggest this as a feature request, either as a plugin or as part of the main program. Thanks.

I don't think it supports plugins other than transform filters and the scripting engine isn't much help either, some could build a small application and call it from the explorer shell.
