I have no idea how to back up this DVD, hope someone can help. I have used ReBuilder for a couple of years but I have always used the 1 click mode. This DVD has the whole movie broken into about 5 or 6 episodes. You can start off at the beginning but when it ends the first episode it will take you back to the menu and you have to chose the next episode going through all of the same feature attractions, you have to do this after every episode. As I said I have only used the 1 click mode, is there any way of backing this up to where it will play the whole movie without taking you to the menu after every episode. Thanks.

Well, it is not really a 'movie' but 6 episodes. I guess DVD-RB does what it should and lets you pick an episode to play after one is played. I doubt there is much you can do about it.

Assuming we are talking about a standard DVD then I'm curious. Once you've ripped the DVD have you tried playing it back to see if all the chapters are there?
If it is all there couldn't you use Imgburn to turn the folder into an ISO and burn the entire thing to a Dual layer? Just a thought.

I assume that the original disc behaves the same way?

Per "NOKNOT":when it ends the first episode it will take you back to the menu and you have to chose the next episode going through all of the same feature attractions, you have to do this after every episode.
According to Amazon, it's a two-disc package of:a three-part, 4.5-hour Sci-Fi Channel miniseries

Thanks for the reply's, sorry I haven't gotten back but I have been kind of busy the last few days. Sophocles, I ripped to hard drive and was hoping I could use Rebuilder to fit it on a standard DVD using movie only setting. I was hoping that it would bypass the menus and play each episode after each other and not take me back to the main menu. With this setting however it just shows one of the episodes and says it will fit on a standard dvd and does not need any compression. When I put it on Movie and Menus Mode it then shows all episodes. I have not tried that because I figured I would have just what I started out with in the original.
Jdobbs, yes the original behaves the same way.
Setarip_old,it comes with two dvds and both have episodes.
Since I used ANYDVD to rip I thought I would try their CloneDVD and see what it would do on Copy DVD Titles Mode, to my surprise it bypassed the menus and played the episodes without going back to the menus. Thanks again for the reply's.
