Bypassing HDPVR encoder in graphedit

I'm not sure if this is the right forum to ask this but here is my question.

The Hauppauge HD-PVR encodes video/audio at a hardware level. Currently in GraphEdit, I have it set to do all of this and to render it on my PC in the following graph:

I was just curious if there was a way to skip the Hauppauge HD PVR encoder step and dump a raw file so that I could keep the original stream. The only reason I can come up with that would make this unfeasible is that maybe the HDPVR never technically has a digital copy of the untouched stream, just signals coming from the component cables.

If anyone is familiar with graphedit, I would love to hear your input! Thanks!

I suppose the USB connection does not have enough bandwidth to transport uncompressed HD video.

USB 3.0 has enough:) BlackMagic has just released USB 3.0 based capture cards- cool stuff.

I've seen that new card, it looks freaking amazing. I think when I build my HTPC this summer I might build around that. It's just that I'm not sure if I want to buy a mobo with USB 3.0 support or save some bucks and just use a PCIe card that exposes some USB 3.0 ports.
