Using BD Rebuilder v 33.06 to rebuild Avatar to fit on BD25. After 6.5 hours at the very end, I received an error message that I don't understand. What do I need to do to correct this problem?

Here is the log:

First you read the 6,000 posts where I've made it clear what is causing your problem... and then you install the right software. Did you even read your own post?
- AVISYNTH Version: 2.5.8.0, not recommended version
- HAALI Splitter: Not installed
- FFDSHOW: 1723, not recommended versionI hate sounding like a jerk... but this $%#^ is really getting old.

If you hate to sound like a jerk, then why do you act like one!

"- AVISYNTH Version: 2.5.8.0, not recommended version
- HAALI Splitter: Not installed
- FFDSHOW: 1723, not recommended version

This info appeared in the log when the original try shut down as "failed video encode." I read those error notes and then downloaded AVISYNTH 257 and FFDSHOW 3326 as instructed by http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=143716. they were installed and i continued the process until the end when I received the "Not enought buffer for parse video stream. Current frame num 3502
[18:41:57] - Failed to build structure, aborted" error message

I am just looking for help here, not to be called out as an idiot. If I ahve failed to comply with how you "experts" perceive we newbees should try and maneuver thru this unbelievably complex
procedure, please accept my humble apology.

I deleted my "rant" post, because I'm just not in the mode for arguing anymore with people who won't follow instructions or use the "search" function...

Here's probably the source of your current problem. AnyDVD doesn't support your version of AVATAR yet. So the encoder is probably failing when it hits some section that isn't decrypted properly.

From the AnyDVD forum:

"It will *not* work with other "RED_BIRD_2D_WW" versions..."

In fact none of the AVATAR versions are supported with the current general release. The note above is related to beta version 6.6.3.8 that is only available through the AnyDVD forum for testing.

FYI - A properly decoded version works fine with bd-rb to make a bd-25

FYI - A properly decoded version works fine with bd-rb to make a bd-25 Yes, but not all regions are supported yet by AnyDVD. You also have to download the beta.

From the changelog of the latest AnyDVDHD beta 6.6.4.0:
Note regarding Avatar BD: This version will work with all versions of the disc except the south american "RED_BIRD_2D_WW" version (Brazil). An updated AnyDVD version for this region will be available soon.
So chill a little tjbailey, it will come soon I'm sure. And take it easy on jdobbs, he has to answer the same questions over and over from people who don't search and read pertinent threads or the FAQ. Remember, this is a beta software and he supplies it FREE!!!

[00:08:35] - Failed video encode, aborted

Try uninstalling ffdshow and Haali, delete both folders in Programs, reboot, reinstall both from the first page of this thread, reboot, then set VC-1 to libavcodec in Video decoder configurations in ffdshow, then try BD RB again.

If you run Inspect it will say your VC-1 is incorrect, just ignore that.

Just a warning. The libavcodec VC-1 decoder has known issues with interlaced sources. DGDecNV handles interlaced VC-1 correctly, FYI.

I'm having probs with Avatar so rather starting another thread I thought I'd tag onto this one...

BTW I've had the exact same problem with Star Trek but I digress.

Unlike the original poster I have not had an aborted encode

here's the .inf and the .log...

You'll note this is 2 jobs, I tried full and movie only and in both cases I ended up with a 17gig .iso where the video froze partway through but the audio continued.

I'm using AnyDvd HD 6.7.6.0 and as far as I'm aware there were no AviSynth or Haali incompatibilities but I can't seem to get a PROPER finished article - what am I cocking up??

Can you run INSPECT.EXE (from the BD Rebuilder folder) and post the results? Also, are you overclocked? It sounds like the video encode isn't completing.

I red/Ied and reinstalled AviSynth after installing 0.37.0.1 and I don't know which if either made the difference but 3rd time lucky all went through and I have a 23gig image, from the same source, which plays all the way through...

I'm gonna go burn it now!
