Hello.
I'm using MPC-HC with AC3Filter for playing bluray movies.
Video through HDMI to tv.
Audio through S/PDIF to 5.1 system.
So far i didn't have almost any problems with this combination, but the last movie i bought has an English stream in DTS-HD
DTS-HD Master Audio English 0 kbps 5.1 / 48 kHz / 24-bit (DTS Core: 5.1 / 48 kHz / 1509 kbps / 24-bit)
This stream doesn't get passed through by AC3filter, but instead it gets encoded into 640 kbps AC3 and then sent through S/PDIF. Problem is that this degrades audio quality a lot.
I tested my sound system, and it supports both DTS-HD, 24-bit PCM and 48000 sample rate.
Is it possible to force AC3Filter to passthrough DTS-HD?
Can some other software do it?
Does S/PDIF even support DTS-HD? If so, is it possible to somehow encode DTS-HD to regular DTS (1509 kbps) and then pass it through S/PDIF?
Thanks for your help :)
