View Full Version : ISO works, DVD does not

My issue:
Whether I encode down to BD25 or DVD9, I patch, create an ISO file, and mount with Virtual CloneDrive. Always, the image works just fine. However, when I burn to DVD9s, I have issues with the discs themselves (in the same computer I mount the images with and burn the DVDs with). In a couple instances, the DVD has worked fine. In another instance, the DVD would not play at all. In another, the DVD made it to the menu, then would do nothing after that.

Is it possible it's a media problem? I have a large spindle of DVDs and I don't want to run out and buy more if anyone's had the same problem, and it wasn't a media issue. I'm using memorex 8x DVD+R DLs.

Anyone have this same issue?

Anyone have this same issue? It's hard to say. It could be your burner, your discs, or the settings used for the burn.

Hi!

Try burning the Memorex D/L at 2.4X...

I tried burning at 2.4x, and it still did the same thing.

I package the ISO as UDF, version 2.5, just like tutorials have said, and like I said before, the ISOs work just fine when mounted. It's once they're burned that something goes wrong. I burn with IMGBurn (which I make the ISOs with), so when I open the ISO to burn, all the settings are saved from when the ISO was created.

Let BD Rebuilder create the ISO (under SETTINGS/OUTPUT OPTIONS), that way you know the settings are correct.
